Murena Meet
Overview
Murena Meet is Murena Workspace’s video meeting service.
Use it if you want to:
- create and host a meeting from your Murena Workspace account
- invite other Murena users
- let external guests join through a meeting link
If you create a new calendar event with at least one guest, a Murena Meet link is automatically added to that event.
Prerequisites
Before you start, make sure you have:
- a Murena Workspace account if you want to create and start a meeting
- a recent web browser
- permission to use your microphone and camera if needed
The meeting experience can vary depending on your browser and network quality.
Create a meeting
Starting from Murena Workspace
- Sign in to your Murena Workspace account.
- Open Murena Meet from the Murena Workspace apps area.
- Create or open the meeting you want to use.
- Copy and share the meeting link with your participants.

Starting from a calendar event
If you create a new calendar event with at least one guest, Murena Workspace automatically adds a Murena Meet link to that event.
You can also click Add Meet conversation in the right panel of the event’s detailed edit view.

Important to know
Join a meeting
Join with a Murena Workspace account
- Open the meeting link you received.
- If needed, sign in to your Murena Workspace account.
- Allow microphone or camera access if your browser asks for it.
- Join the meeting.
You can also open Murena Meet to find upcoming meetings you’ve been invited to with your Murena Workspace account in the Upcoming meetings section.

Join without a Murena Workspace account
- Open the meeting link you received.
- Enter the display name you want others to see.
- Allow microphone or camera access if your browser asks for it.
- Join the meeting as a guest.
External guests can join through the meeting link even if they do not have a Murena Workspace account.

How meeting links work
Here are the main things to know:
- you can share the meeting link with other participants
- external guests can join through the link
- the meeting is tied to its owner
- if the owner leaves, the meeting stops
Restrictions
Depending on your plan, you can invite a different number of participants to your video meetings.
Free users are limited to one-to-one video conferencing, while Premium users can invite up to 7 participants to their video calls.
FAQ
Why can I not start or continue a meeting without the host?
Murena Meet meetings are tied to their owner. If the owner has not started the meeting yet, or leaves it, the meeting cannot continue.
What should I do if audio or video does not work properly?
First, check your browser permissions for microphone and camera. If the issue continues, try rejoining the meeting, switching to another browser, or testing from a more stable network.
Can the experience vary depending on browser or network?
Yes. Some audio, video, or connection issues can depend on the browser in use or on network quality, especially on unstable mobile connections.
